About Us

I started ND Warriors because I am a survivor. I am also a late-diagnosed neurodivergent woman. As much as it pains me to see the connection between these, this is my story.

It was through a period of deep grief, learning, and self-discovery (that many of us can relate to once a diagnosis is received), that I began to understand the link between neurodiversity in girls and increased vulnerability to abuse.

 

What I discovered was shocking - but sadly, not surprising. 

​

Research shows that up to 90% of autistic girls, and around two-thirds of girls with ADHD, will experience abuse during adolescence. These numbers are not just statistics — they are lived realities. They are my reality. And they are the reality of far too many girls who never receive the understanding, protection, or support they need.

ND Warriors was born from a fierce determination to change that. I want to shed a light on these harsh realities in the hope we can change the narrative for future generations. 

​

I want to create a world where neurodivergent girls are safe, seen, and supported; where they don’t have to survive the trauma I did. A world where their unique needs are recognised early, and where prevention is a priority, not an afterthought.

​

This means building a society that:

• Truly understands neurodiversity — especially in girls

• Equips young people with the skills and confidence to recognise unsafe situations and build emotional resilience

• Empowers professionals with the knowledge and tools to prevent abuse, and to respond to trauma in a way that is neurodiversity-affirming and trauma-informed.

At ND Warriors, I believe that this change is possible.
I am here to raise awareness, create resources, start conversations, and advocate for the safety and dignity of every neurodivergent young person.

This work is personal.
It is also urgent.

And I won’t stop until every girl is given the chance to grow up safe, understood, and free.
